This is what made you make your website I'm sure. And I agree with Dimi maybe it's just to Impress your GF...

Re: Advices for my website
Not really, not into sports at all.
About your website.... I can't say anthing because this is total amateur level, no offense.
Here are some tips.
You made a part of it in Javascript, what If a browser had javascript turned off?
Here are somethings you should google and check out:
- Typography
- Web Design
- Iconography (& how to use them)
- HTML/CSS (Your skills in these are really poor.
Firstly learn and practise HTML5/CSS3. Start from the basic. Here's a great source: http://www.w3schools.com/
Next, search for website designs/templates etc and get a hold of how the designs in them are used.
Thirdly, this forum is great for references and help: http://www.designerstalk.com/forums/ (Well they're really harsh on critiquing but if you ask them to point you in the right direction, they'll do so)
So what you're required to do;
- Learn HTML5/CSS3
- Check out some awesome designs
- Typography! (It's really important; fonts, etc)
- A validated HTML5 Template!
Stick to those for now. I'm typing in the hurry, otherwise I would've elaborated a bit more.
EDIT: Check out some some awesome free templates and get a hold of their design ideas. Here's a guy who posts really cool & free templates; http://html5up.net/
EDIT2: OH! Don't forget about color combinations. That's what keeps your website pretteh!

If you want to start development first learn "C". You can take on HTML later and proceed to CSS and Java. These are the main elements in websites.
@ontopic- Yashu you can start with Dreamweaver it will help you.

Re: Advices for my website
There are two fields imo in web development;
Template Designing & The backhand crap that runs your website.
I suggest you start with the basics of HTML5 & CSS3 first, get ahold of all the tags used in html5 and stuff. Now once you do that you should be able to program your pages.
For the backhand programming language I'd suggest where you'd be able to insert stuff into databases, save stuff to files, load stuff, make login/contact/validation stuff, I highly recommend PHP.
There are tons of great ebooks on it; I suggest you google.
Some useful links;
http://php.net/
http://www.w3schools.com/php/
So in conclusion;
1. Learn HTML5 & CSS3 first.
2. Move on to programming with PHP

C & Java don't have to do anything with web developing unless you're making a Java web applet... I think what you're trying to say is for him to get a hold of his programming concepts, yeah, that'd help with PHP. And if you mean "Javascript" instead of "Java", those are two different things. ._.Inferno wrote:If you want to start development first learn "C". Re: Advices for my website
I know ._. Java is for Programs and Javascript for Webpages... but it depends on what website he wants to make.
