afaik, mods don't necessarily have to make videos/take pics of the people hacking before banning them since that would just be tedious and we're doing this completely voluntarily.
From what I -was able to- read on this topic, you somehow killed a player without aiming that was firing to someone nearby(?) and you fired towards the shots, that does sound legit since I get these kinds of kills time to time too. I don't think only one lucky shot is a reason for ban.
