Of course I wouldn't like to have someone insulting me, but honestly, reporting someone just for that? :/
You could have just discuss a friendly way to work that out instead of coming here, I mean, if he was massively freekilling it wouldn't be a problem reporting him, but it's just some insults, just give him a warning, no need to go all fuzzy with that.

Hey guys, instead of looking forward to busting each other after every single word or action, you better help yourselves to become better players, having better behaviors. Being dramatic about every criticism that comes through won't get you far.

Honesty is good. However be nice and don't act like an a**hole. He might be anythig, but you don't need to talk to him, and if you do, you also can do it like I've said in a nicer way.
